***Okay, first off, you may notice I am using Unreal Engine 5 in these screenshots but my issue is the exact same in 4.26. I am just testing it in both.
ALSO I started this scene in 4.25 and had the GPU Lightmass Plugin working great, and everything built with no issues. I switched to 4.26 a little later because I wanted to use Raytracing. Everything worked great for a while then suddenly didn’t. After a certain point, full builds were making my results worse and worse. Once I switched to Unreal 5, everything looked great again except for the lights not working.
-I also had to put all images into one because I can’t post more than one image, apparently.***
So I am brand new to Unreal, and I have been searching everywhere for this issue but I can’t find any answers.
I see people say that everything goes completely black after their light builds but mine doesn’t.
MY issue is when I first started setting up my scene and lights, everything built perfectly. The lights showed up, materials were good, and only a few errors of UV overlapping but they won’t fix even after I set their channels to the best UV Channel generated from Datasmith.
After I went and added cameras to my scene for renders, I did one final Production Build and suddenly my lights stopped showing. The Directional/Sky Lights were fine but the lights, (aside from emissive lights), stopped showing even though I never changed their settings.
I have provided several screenshots to show:
-The Ambient, Emissive, and Directional/Sky Lights seem to be working fine.
-The Settings I have set for one of my Spot Lights (The settings for the other lights in the scene are almost the exact same outside of their Intensities).
-A view of the Lightmap Density of part of the scene. I learned that it would be best to have everything darker than green but less than red.
Again, everything seemed to be working find and then randomly they just “shut off” after builds.
Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
