The State Tree Request Transition node is broken in version 5.7 if it is called as a global task. It was working in 5.6.

I’ve been looking into whether anyone else has reported an issue with the State Tree Request Transition node being broken in version 5.7, and I haven’t found much additional information.
Aside from a single user on the forums — and what you mentioned — there don’t seem to be many other reports confirming that it broke again in 5.7.
What I did find, however, is a post discussing the same node when it was broken in earlier versions. In those threads, several workarounds are mentioned that helped resolve or bypass the issue at the time, and it might be worth trying them in the new version as well to see if any still apply.
Additionally, while reviewing the official documentation, I noticed that a new State Tree debugger has been introduced. This debugger allows you to inspect things in much more detail.
That debugger could be a useful tool to identify exactly where the transition is failing, and it might also help you discover a new workaround in case none of the ones mentioned in the older post work.
