Stair FBX/OBJ import use in UE4

Another sample view . im using new UE4.4 Preview

  1. make sure to scale your mesh in your 3d program → otherwise it will be too small in your editor
  2. a 26 dop collision wont work because your mesh is too complex → either do it with auto convex collision or create your collision in a 3d program (like we have showed you above ^^)
  3. adjust the origin of your mesh

Btw, I meant the export settings from 3ds , because you said that it’s also not working with my collision setup?

I have import a house but collision is working and also the stair, but this is only given problem…

Note: House and Stair same size.

Sorry, but somehow you are confusing me… So how have you made the collision now?

  • you can use a auto convex collision
  • a “use complex as simple” collision
  • or a UCX collision which you can create in your 3d program

Everything is shown in my video above.

I try all of that but same problem and from “use complex as simple” collision is useless. before from UE 4.2 its working but now in new version, its not working.
Can you please try to use the S2.fbx files. i use this object to block my player.

As I mentioned above, you will have to rescale and change the origin of your mesh in a 3d program. Then all ways will work perfectly: ?v=DVZz-oGR-9U
