SquidNet Rendering Plugin for Unreal Engine

Hey Guys, as mentioned in a previous posting on the UE forum, we’ve been getting a lot of requests from our users to support UE from within our SquidNet rendering pipeline (https://www.squidnetsoftware.com). And because of this, we’re looking for an experienced UE user/developer to help us develop the tools to support UE within our client front-end and server back-end tools framework.

In return, we’ll provide a free lifetime subscription license to our product(s)

Basically, we’re looking for assistance with the following items:

  1. Develop a client-side render job submission plugin from inside the UE Editor.
  2. Enhance our command line scripting tools to support batch rendering of UE jobs.
  3. Develop a streamlined method to export UE project dependences so as to not have to upload the entire project folder to the server back-end.
  4. Develop server back-end rendering tools for our rendering distribution pipeline.

Upon completion of the tasks above, SquidNet support for UE will include the following:

  1. Job submission tools for the UE Editor and SquidNet desktop tools interfaces.
  2. Automatic packaging and uploading of UE project content to our Squidnet render farm services.
  3. Automatic distribution of UE render jobs to available rendering nodes available within the rendering network.
  4. Automatic downloading of rendered content to client-side storage devices,
