"Sprite Atlas" for Paper2D / UMG is it worth in UE?


I switched to Unreal after using Unity for a few years.
Is it worth creating an image with multiples images inside ( Sprite Atlas ) and then separate them in Unreal as Sprite to use in Paper2D / UMG?
Are there any performance benefits?
Does Unreal already do this ( even with separate images )?

I reported a “bug” about tiling Sprite in UMG that was marked as Won’t Fix, it made me wonder if it’s worth it in Unreal:
