Spawn SubUV Decal in Matinee

Hi there. I’m creating a cutscene in Matinee and i wish to spawn an animated decal (Shield FX) at a preplaced location (Attached to a ship) in Matinee, starting at frame 1.

Just making it visible/ invisible doesn’t ofcourse reset the playback to frame 1.

If there’s a better way to go about this you guys and gals can think of (For example using a movie file instead of sub UV, perhaps a particle implementation?) I’d really appreciate any ideas. It wouldn’t take long to convert the sub uv/ assets to other implementations.

For anyone who finds this wondering the same thing. Create a decal actor and attach/ place it in the correct location.

Afterwards set the material up to use a float (ScalarParam) for the time input. You can then animate this value in matinee.
