We have sound cues that are assigned on a notify on specific frames on some animations. The cue sounds fine on the preview (we even forced it sound 2d) but very randomly doesn’t play on sequencers.
Debugging the issue we see that the notify doesn’t gets hit, so our guess is that animations are skipping frames when played inside a sequencer (we don’t have this issue on the same animation playing in gameplay).
Hi Jesus,
Apologies for the delay on this one. As you may be aware Epic was on our 2 week summer break, which suspends all EPS activity during that period.
Your case has been passed to one of our sub-teams to investigate and I will try to get back to you as soon as possible with an update. In the meantime, I wanted to just let you know that it hasn’t been forgotten.
Hi Jesus. We have a number of engineers looking into this, but so far we have been unsuccessful in being able to repro this internally. Would you be able to to send one or more of the following to help us?:
- A cut down repro project demonstrating the issue (best)
- Specific steps we can follow to identify the issue
- A video of the behavior in your own project
Hi Jesus,
Just to update you further, we do now think we are able to reproduce the issue and have identified some underlying causes. I hope to have some updated information for you this week.
Thanks for the reply.
We will be expecting news as we are close to submission and this is one of the only issues left on our list.
