Sound does Not Play Properly at Low FPS (~15)

My game is very forgiving of low FPS, and as such for older machine I would like to trade FPS for quality and target ~15 FPS. However at this FPS sounds become distorted, or stutter, how ever you would like to describe it. Currently I adjust r.ScreenPercentage up or down based on the moving average of GetWorld()->GetDeltaSeconds().

Is there a way to unlink sound and FPS, or increase the sound quality, any workaround, so that sound will play normally at low FPS?
