Sound crashing when using X-Fi sound card

Summary

Since the last update I’ve been unable to play Fortnite using my Soundblaster X-Fi Titanium model SB0886. Everything works just fine in lobby and waiting area before going into the bus. All audio then gets cut out, leaving one steady pitched sound and crashing all sound in Windows. Only way to fix it is to restart the PC, because launching Windows sound control panel causes it to be stuck in “not responding” state. Issue is not present when using integrated Realtek sound card, even though the X-Fi is still in the system. Two other PCs with external USB X-Fi model SB1095 sound cards work fine, my system also didn’t crash before Chapter 7 Season 2 update.
