Summary
EDIT: Resolved. Leaving up for anyone else who may experience the same issue.
After the 39.20 update, my team’s Island no longer launches.
The game has an existing published version. This release launched and played without issue on 39.10.
When a player attempts to launch the Island they become stuck trying to matchmake/download, eventually receiving a Connection Timeout message:
LogNet: Error: UEngine::BroadcastNetworkFailure: FailureType = ConnectionTimeout, ErrorString = UNetConnection::Tick: Connection TIMED OUT. Closing connection..
The same account can load other islands with no issue.
However, there are no notable errors reported in UEFN or Fortnite logs that shed light on what is causing this. Logs indicate that the following is occurring without issue:
- Verse compilation
- Project Cook
- Session Launch
New Private Versions can publish without issue.
This occurs in all versions of the project - the following were tested:
- Published Island
- Private Playtest Code
- Private Build
- Launched from Editor
In all instances, the connection then times out with no logged information as to why.
Has anyone experienced anything similar to this after an update? Are there any steps that can be taken to resolve (or further debug) this issue?
