I used the Blend4Web addon to modify the normals on my character in order to produce more accurate toon shading. However those changes don’t translate over to UE4 when I export the character as an FBX. I tried baking normal maps which works to some extent but isn’t very accurate and ends up looking very sloppy.
You can see that the unreal version (right) is missing the chest and collar bone detail. The face is also overtaken by shadows.
Any idea how I can get Unreal to detect modified normals without the use of normal maps?
