[Solved] Fortnite wont change graphics setting when launched from UEFN

Summary

If I launch Fortnite by itself, I can lower it’s render resolution etc so my 3080 doesn’t struggle with UEFN also open.
These graphics settings are however ignored, if Fortnite is instead opened via UEFN::“Launch Session” .

Unreal Editor for Fortnite

What Type of Bug are you experiencing?

Live Edit

Steps to Reproduce

1/ Open Fortnite.
2/ Fortnite Settings: Windowed + Lower resolution.
3/ Go back to Settings. Res is still lowered. Window is correct size.
4/ Quit Fortnite.

5/ Open UEFN + Project.
6/ “Launch Session” to open Fortnite.
7/ Fortnite Settings: Windowed + Lower res.
8/ Back into Settings, Res ignored (and window occasionally resizes accordingly).

Expected Result

Either more clarity in UEFN editor why this GPU mode is enforced…
or
Fortnite still obeying GPU modes configured in Fortnite Settings.

Observed Result

Fortnite ignores it’s own GPU modes in it’s own settings if launched from UEFN.

Hello @Hicsy I believe the options you are looking for are in “EDIT” then “EDITOR PREFERENCES”

And inside there you can change your resolution settings for when fortnite is launched from uefn

and also while im not 100% sure about this one but these launch arguments should change the Rendering mode

Awesome thank you @Mineblo !
Yes, this indeed appears to be the exact option I was looking for!

I have no doubt this is the solution that I need, so I will try mark this as resolved.

Cheers

edit: can’t mark this above post as the solution, nor the thread as resolved.
