You can get the integrated developer assistant panel stuck as a web-browser by middle-clicking any link, such as a suggested article, or even the privacy policy at the bottom of the landing page.
I cannot see an obvious way to return back to the Assistant, only popping it out as a new window and then closing it (Big X, not the small one) to break + reset it.

Middle-Click a URL
Now you are stuck in a full-on web-browser with XSS, Cookies, the whole shebang.
Expected Result
The content opens in a new tab
a back button or something to return to AI
instead of attempting to open in “New Tab”, just treat it as left-click instead.
Observed Result
the “New Tab” instead takes over the AI Assistant chat panel.
Honestly I would like this as a legit feature, a webview window on the side as an actual editor window so one could have documentation or even tutorials on the side (good for people with 1 screen on their pc in my opinion) just maybe having a go back button would help
yeah totally, my first thought was “Oh cool, it just added another tab straight to the AI window - that’s perfect!”
Then I realised I couldnt get back to the convo haha.
I’d be happy with either. That tabs work, or some sort of back-button.
Fastest solution would obv just be to disable middle-click though, same as they did for right-click.
I personally won’t upvote this bug report because it’s a non-issue and imo is one of those bugs that deserve to just be ignored or even become actual features
