Summary
The Social Synergy API introduced in version 42.10 currently only works in Edit Session. It does not function in Live, Playtest, or Private sessions.
For example, this API is currently implemented in STB (3225-0366-8885), which is live right now. The implementation includes a Party Cash Multi Boost, which players receive when playing with a friend.

Verse
Steps to Reproduce
- Write Verse code that utilizes the Social Synergy API. You can also use one of the examples provided in the Epic Games documentation (Party-Based Gameplay Using the Social Synergy API In Fortnite | Fortnite Documentation | Epic Developer Community)
- Join an Edit Session with two players who are part of the same Fortnite party, and observe the behavior.
- Repeat the same test in Playtest, Private, and Live sessions.
Expected Result
It should work consistently across all session types: Edit, Playtest, Private, and Live.
As shown in the screenshot, when two players are in the same Fortnite party, the Party Boost should be applied and displayed (e.g., PARTY BOOST +0.1x).
Observed Result
Works only in Edit Session. It does not work in Playtest, Private, or Live sessions.
As a result, the PARTY BOOST is not displayed in these sessions. The UI logic hides the Party Boost when the player is not detected as playing with a friend; however, in this case, the player is playing with their friend, as shown in the screenshot.
Therefore, the Social Synergy API appears to be incorrectly detecting the party relationship outside of Edit Session.
