Does Reality Capture support SLAM lidar data? I have a 5gb point cloud from a slam scanner and it will import but just as one lidar scan. The resulting mesh does not reflect the overall size of the point cloud that was captured.
Thank You!

Hello,
Unfortunately, RealityCapture doesn’t natively support SLAM LIDAR data. We only support ordered LIDAR data from stationary terrestrial laser scanners. The reason is that RealityCapture needs the sensor position to align with images and later for meshing. That’s something we do not have from mobile scanners.
However, there is a possible workaround. It is possible to generate virtual scan station positions in general-purpose laser scan software. We prepared a tutorial on how to do that: Create Ordered Point Cloud From Unordered
The workflow in the tutorial is just one way of doing things. Other software packages also enable the creation of virtual scan positions.
I hope this helps, and good luck with your project!
