All right, thanks. It’s a shame, because they are useful scanners, but I need very good textures for what I’m doing. Any idea which one of the ground based scanners work best? Looking for the highest resolution possible at medium to small distances.

Hi there. I´m looking into the posibility to add a laser scanner to our workflow, but I would like to know what is the cheapest option that we could acquire, right now we use just photos, and I would like to add a bit more info with a scanner. What are your recommendations? Thanks!

Slam Lidar e57 Import?

Hello, Unfortunately, RealityCapture doesn’t natively support SLAM LIDAR data. We only support ordered LIDAR data from stationary terrestrial laser scanners. The reason is that RealityCapture needs the sensor position to align with images and later for meshing. That’s something we do not have from mobile scanners. However, there is a possible workaround.
