Skylight affecting Mesh outside of Atmosphere

After trying out some different ways to make a realistic moon, I’ve ended up with a sphere that is way outside of the atmosphere mesh. But when the moon is up during daytime, the self-shadow gets brighter (because the skylight) instead of staying black. The sky distance threshold of the skylight also doesn’t seem to affect it at all. (UE 5.2)
Does anybody know a possible fix for this? I don’t really want to turn the skylight off.

Ok, so I was able to fix it for now. I’ve given the moon its own sunlight on their own lighting channel. Set moon texture to 0.05 (really dark) and then increased the intensity of the directional light to 350. Probably not the best solution, but the only one I was able to come up with for now.
