I used this method to simulate swimming underwater in a game-jam, so when I saw you post this last month I checked it and sure enough - my jam game is broken.
Since it got classified as ‘Backlogged’ I wouldn’t expect updates any time soon.
It’s an interesting case though. Raising the question of a line between vigorously supporting backwards compatibility and saying ‘using these devices together is not supported’.
I think the workaround/path forward might be a post-process volume and a two-sided water shader. (Keeping the skydive movement, deleting water volume behavior). Happy to explore alternatives.
