Skybox only working under the horizon

hello im trying to make a skybox for my UEFN map and it works fine inside of UEFN however in the in game editor and ive tried in the private playtest it only shows under the horizon and the normal sky is still showing, i have a mesh with the material on it acting as the sky, i have “is sky” enabled in the material and all the other stuff you need to make a skybox, but no matter what i do it just does not work in game. any help would be great.

Hello, Welcome to the Forums,

If you go to Window → World Settings and enable the check box next to ‘Disable All Time Of Day Managers’ - are you able to see your skybox?

hello, thanks for the answer the skybox is now working however builds, guns, players and all that is black and the skybox is giving off a LOT of light but not lighing anything inside of it, any idea what to do?

You’re welcome,

The answer could be as simple as adding a ‘directional light’, but I think you may end up with a better look if you place an ‘Environment Light Rig’ device in your scene. - You’ll have more manual control over this and be able to toggle visibility of certain components of it (It’s probably one of these components that was masking your skybox previously)

Thanks! i got it to work weirdly turning off “is sky” made it work aswell but its still really bright but i believe that is due to the emission settings in the material. thanks for the help

Just got it to work perfectly without having to change any of the lighing settings, if u follow this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NLSLydjF0g&t=301s and change it so “is sky” is off and add a “multipy” node before the emmisive color output with texture sample and a emissive strenght node (Scalar Parameter) into it, it works just mess around with the strength of the emission untill its what u want (i have mine at 0.2 but it was hella bright before.
