Skeleton Must be Saved (Retargeting issue)

Help!
This was working great until this morning.

I imported a new skeleton and when I go to the retarget manager and select the Humanoid rig I get: “Skeleton needs to be saved”

Saving does not fix this.

Clicking AddNew and adding the Skeletal Mesh gives me a message "Retargeting Source for (mesh name) already exists: (mesh name)

Looking at my other skeletons that were previously working they all have lost their Humanoid rig bone mappings, skeletal meshes, and now give me the same error messages.

Edit: I’ve tried creating a completely fresh, blank project. Imported the new skeleton and the old one and both are now giving me the same errors.

Is this caused by an update to UE4? I went to my laptop that has an older version of my project that hasnt been changed for at least 3 months and have been getting the same bug. ‘skeleton needs to be saved.’

Is there a way to reinstall UE4 without having to go through the download process?

Tried a reinstall of UE4. Still get the same error.

Is anyone else having this issue? This has completely halted my dev progress.

The problem has mysteriously resolved itself. Not sure how though I’ve already migrated to UE5 and IK rigs.
