Skeletal Meshes cast shadow max distance? How to raise?

How can I set the max distance at which skeletal meshes cast shadows? My city NPCs throw their sun shadows up to max. around 30 meters, which looks stupid from my main viewpoint (about 15 m over street level). All the shadows popping in and out as the player flies over them is very noticeable. How to change/raise this distance?

UE 5.2 , Sun uses Virtual Shadow map, missing skeletalmesh shadows also with standard shadow maps
