Skeletal mesh w/ physics asset won't simulate physics when attached to static mesh object socket

Hi! I have been pulling my hair out over this issue. I tried following this guide YT video for attaching a skeletal mesh w/ physics onto a socket. I imported the skeletal mesh, went into the physics asset and simulated physics and it worked. Then I went into the static mesh object bp and attached the fish to the socket, set simulating physics and set the collision. Then I tried simulating and it didn’t work. It was just static. I am wondering if BOTH of the items MUST be of a skeletal mesh type IN order for the other mesh to simulate physics? WHY otherwise would the skeletal mesh w/ physics asset not simulate physics? It’s just static. Annoying!

ALRIGHT, good news and bad news. I managed to attach the skeletal object onto the static mesh and have it simulate physics. The bad news? Well, as soon as I move the static object the skeletal object stays in place. So it’s pseudo attached to the object.

more good news, I managed to fix it and the object is now simulating physics while being attached and following the object. Now the problem is that the physics asset is stretching
