Hi I have no idea what I’m doing. I’ve got a scene. It all shows up in the Lumen Scene view and the lighting looks fine. I added a skeletal mesh and thought the lighting looked stupid for it and when I switched to the Lumen view, the skeletal mesh was invisible. I’ve looked around the internet for solutions and couldn’t find any. I made sure it wasn’t a problem with the specific model by importing other meshes as skeletal meshes and they still didn’t show up. Someone please send help.
You need to enable Hardware Ray Tracing in order to have skeletal meshes represented in Lumen Scene.
With Software Ray Tracing (Distance Fields) skeletal meshes can be picked up only by screen space traces and they won’t be visible in Lumen Scene. So as long as something is on screen it should influence GI and reflections, though it may have view dependent artifacts.
