Hi! Can someone provide me with the simplest and easiest way of doing macro texture variation for my terrain material? I have seen other tutorials but they don’t start from scratch and are too hard to follow. I want to do this with a snow texture, and all I have is that snow texture and the normal map. If you can provide a blueprint or even just screenshots that would be great! Thanks
Have you checked out the live stream training by UE4 on landscape materials. Andrew Hurley gives some awesome tips and shows you how a material is put together step by step. Great examples of macro variation textures can be found in the starter content, check out the grass and especially the metals. In the video they actually just copy and paste directly from those materials. They even have the material setup for download on the forum page. I still use it as my basic template. Check out the video and let me know if you have any further questions.

I’m curious, does every dev use the one that’s already provided?
