Simple Grass Wind falloff ?

I’ve used the Simple Grass Wind for blowing a flag, thing is the whole thing blows and only want the bottom halt to move. Any way to make a falloff ?

You can use vertex colors to paint where you want movement or you could assume certain kind uv mapping and use texture coordinate Y to be fallof weight.

Paint in the Material Editor or is this all in a 3d modeller ?

Does not matter. But most times you want do it in 3d modeller so you can share vertex colors between all instances.

I guess I should add more pollys, at the moment it’s only made of 2.

Edit: Added a black & white gradient mask which works fine.
