Shared or copied Physics Asset?

I’m curious if its possible to either share physics assets between Skeletal Meshes that use the same skeleton or is there a way to copy the bodies/settings from one physics asset and apply it to another? It seems a waste of time to have to create it from scratch if two characters or objects share the same skeleton and only have minor differences in the mesh topology. For example a character with a backpack and one without.

Highly agree. I’d also like a solution to this.

You can share a physics asset by setting it under Mesh Details → Physics → Physics Asset. Unless you mean using a shared base physics asset and then make minor changes on top of it? In that case, why not just duplicate the Physics Asset?

Hmmm. I actually tried changing the Physics Asset in 4.21 and it doesn’t work. Maybe it doesn’t work with re-targeted meshes and only works with meshes that share the same skeleton?

What I was hoping to do was to generate a new physics asset for a character with a different skeleton (same bone names) based on the Mannequin. That way I don’t have to set everything up from scratch. Anyone know if this is possible?

Solution does not work for me.
I’m wishing for the ability to copy the physics asset from one skeleton to another if they share bone hierarchy too. You cannot duplicate the PA and change the skeleton, at least not from what I’ve found. And copying the physics shapes does not allow us to paste them on another PA, at least it doesn’t seem so.
