Shadows on SingleLayerWater Material

I’ve been struggling with shadows on single‑layer water materials appearing far too dark on the water surface. I haven’t been able to find a way to control or lighten the shadow appearance, as shown in the image. Does anyone know how to adjust or manage shadow intensity on single‑layer water?

Hey there @Ildemar_Pedro! I believe the way to normally influence the shadows interaction with the water would be increasing the amount of ambient light on it, however there’s some other methods that can modify the shadows in various ways. Here’s a couple threads with some resources, though some are more useful than others:

This is more focused on shadow resolution/shape/softness but can help mitigate harsher shadows:

This thread goes over some custom scripting to remove the shadow entirely on top of the water, but with it’s understanding could be modified to adjust how the shadow is handled:

Just bump up PhaseG (0.3 to 0.7 range). This has a side effect that it’ll make your water more transparent, but you can crank up your water color if you have it set up on the second pin called AbsorptionCoefficients. You may have to double or triple it or more and find a good compromise between the this and PhaseG.
