Shadows for models switch to low quality

Hello,

I have an excavator model that has treads made up of individual plates. When I am close to the model, the shadows are cast correctly, but as I pull away, the shadows seem to disappear completely. I am using the ultra dynamic sky plugin for this scene, and have tried adjusting the distance shadows and cascaded shadows, but nothing has been changing, any ideas on how to fix this?

it is, I was able to solve this issue with the console command r.RayTraceCulling 0

You could also opt to use Virtual Shadow Maps instead of raytracing for similarly sharp shadow and near infinite distance. VSMs work best with Nanite meshes.
