Hi, this bug never happened to me before in my game. But a player sent me this photo. For me, even with the lowest quality in my game I don’t get this lighting. But there seems to be a issue about their global illumination. It’s like Lumen disables in their game for no reason. What could be the reason?
Hey @BiaXThePanda1 !
There’s a lot of things this could be- but with the issue being on a single machine, you need a larger test volume to confirm that it’s your game and not their machine. Automatic graphical settings on their machine could be wildly adjusting their gamma/brightness. There are definitely still shadows, like on the ceiling and undersides of rock faces.
But generally, to change the settings of an exported project, you have to give the players the OPTIONS menu and program it to give them those options. Do you have these things?
Get us some more info from your end and let’s see what we can figure out!
Hey thank you so much. It’s not about their machine, it happened for some other players too (I’ve seen 3 or 4 since now).
And yes , there’s an options menu where players can set their Globalillumination to (High, Epic).
The shadows are always set to High automatically. There’s a shadow quality setting but it only changes the “r.ShadowQuality“ to either 0, 1 , 2. This is for if a player want to enable the dynamic shadows.
One of the 4 players reported this error btw:
A D3D11-compatible GPU (Feature Level 11.0, Shader Model 5.0) is required to run the engine.
Okay, then! Being able to look at the settings of working machines vs the ones that do not work should help figure out the reason this is happening- do you have screenshots of their options menu paired with what is happening?
Well its not about the option menu, i tried every combination but i cant get the same result. The game somehow forcefully changes something but i cant figure out what.
