Shadows are pure black

I’ve looked all over for a solution to this.

And it’s not just the underside of that; you can’t really see it there, but it’s under a lot of the bricks too. I’ve tried a bunch of solutions I found online. None worked. Some of the solutions I’ve tried:

  • Raising the Light Map Resolution settings on the mesh
  • Putting lights under the mesh (never looks good/lights entire mesh/it messes with the lighting around it)
  • Having a sky light. I already had one before this problem even started
  • Rebuilding lighting (yeah, simple I know but sometimes that’s the suggestion)

I have no clue what to do. Can anyone help? Anything is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Your lighting overall looks like something’s wrong, there’s barely any shadows

I have one directional light that casts shadows, but I turned off casting shadows on my sky light because I hated how it affected my level. Makes everything look ugly.

try adding a ‘lightmass importance volume’ to cover the entirety of your scene… see what that does.

Nope, nothing.
