Shadowmaps become lowQ when I move closer to objects


Its weird, in editor, everything seems fine. but when i package the project for windows and play it, the problems begin.

As long as I am somewhat far away drom the scene, the shadowmaps on all the objects seem fine. But as soon as I move closer they suddenly switch to a much lower resolution and become very blurry.

Interestingly enough, when I disable “Texture Streaming” in the project settings, all the shadow maps become blurry as well, even in the editor window.

What am I doing wrong?
Please help.

I fixed it by disabling TextureStreaming and baking the light again. Still weird why that would happen with texture streaming…
