Shadowing options

Previously in UDK there was an option in world properties to make shadows not so solid. I know a lot of things have changed in the version transition.

The name of the option escapes me at the moment but was wondering if it still exists and where I could find it, if not what other options do I have for softening those solid black shadows?

That option is still there. It is called “Environment Intensity” and “Environment Color” the intensity multiplies on top of the color, so make sure the color is not black too. You can also add a skylight actor and rebuild lighting.

You will have to rebuild lighting to see the indirect light.
