Shadow side of certain object is completely dark.

Hi, I’m completely new in unreal and trying to learn something following tutorial everyday.

Downloaded few assets from quixel bridge but the problem is, in certain static mesh (made static not movable) showing completely black in its shadow side not receiving any sky light or indirect light. But other assets are responding correctly.

Does anyone know what is the problem? Please let me know, can’t find solution anywhere.

Hey @optimus0304102! Welcome to the forums!

It looks like the materials are a little wonky. I found a quick tutorial that will show you how to fix that pronto!

Hi @Mind-Brain nice to meet you mate.

Yeah, it solved the problem a bit but comes with a cost. All the textures are Virtual Texture (marked as VT) so as it shows in the video to replace, in my case it’s not allowing me. But that’s ok, not bad for a beginner, not going to a competition that I have to make everting perfect at this stage. Yeah, will learn in future how to manipulate VT to make stuff perfect.

Thanks for the help. I’m not sure how this platform works and how to find you next time. Is it like facebook to keep people in friend list? Please let know and thanks again.
