Hello Guys,
I am trying to learn Unreal development, but, I have run into one particular issue, that I can’t solve either by googling or using the Unreal AnswerHub/Forums. There have been some questions on this but I can’t follow the solutions because they are too esoteric and do not give enough information for a person who is new to Unreal, a noob.
The problem is this I have a project that I am going through as part of the course and in this project everytime I open the project to work on it the shaders compile at first the shaders were, ok, to handle 750 or so, I could wait for that to run through, I can’t do anything else while that was compiling could look at code or save it but, actaul real compililing was a no go area. After adding in some asets though the number of shaders has risen to over 2.5k and it takes about 14 mins to load the project and the shaders compile. So it a goodly amount of wasted time.
Is there anything at all I can do to fix this situation? Or will I have to buy a 32 core threadripping computer just to learn Unreal, so I have more time to devote to learning rather than twiddling my thumbs doing nothing.
Thankyou and Regards.
