Shaders compiling each project start

For some reason lately. Every time I open a project it has to compile over 3 thousand shaders. It finishes compiling, I reopen, and it does it all over again. Even on a new project created via the project browser.
I have literally no idea why its doing it.

Another thing ive noticed is that the project isnt listed under the 4.10.2 project browser. However… a project from the 4.11 preview does.

It seems to have something to do with disabling static lighting and enabling generate mesh distance fields.
I can create a new project. Close and reopen and its fine. But if I disable static lighting and enable generate mesh distance fields, upon loading the project, the splash screen sits at 45% for a long time and then has to compile over 3k shaders, and every time opening the project after this it does the same.
Id also like to add that ive had static lighting disabled and generate mesh distance fields enabled for some time now without any problems.

Really awkward to continue working at the minute. Been 3 days and I just cant get it working.

Cheers all. Any help is very much appreciated.

Anyone have any ideas whats going on?
I’m using 4.10.2 binary. It takes around half an hour to open my project plus compile 3k shaders.

Changing the static lighting project setting will result in a different set of shaders :frowning:
Also every new project will compile its own set of shaders.

Im aware of thst. But the same project has to recompile every time I open it.

Thanks for the reply.
