Shader Compiling Issues

So, I’m rather new to UE4 development. I’m just following along with a tutorial, and while the guy in the tutorial is chugging along with a crappy laptop, I’m having shader compiling issues. Whenever it’s not compiling over 3000 shaders on a small map, it’s having issues displaying the texture after I paint it onto the surface. Compiling finished minutes ago and I’ve recompiled manually, and restarted, but there’s different squares each time that just sit there seemingly unchanged (I don’t know what’s beneath them, after all). Any help?
My PC specs:
GTX 1050ti (OC’d)
UE4 and all the associated content is on a Kingston SSD.
