I am very new and doing my best to follow tutorials to learn more, I was following this tutorial, Disintegrating Baddies: Dissolve Effects in UE4 and the author here connects wires in a way that my UE will not allow.
There are two differences, first mine requires create dynamic material instance to have a target, it will give an error if it doesn’t that it is not a “Primitive Component”
Second, and possibly more importantly, I cannot connect a Dynamic Material Instance to Set Scalar Parameter Value.
The engine will not allow me. Is the tutorial out of date? Where do I go from here.
