Screen Banding on far away screens?

I’ve got a larger surface, made up of several linear strips with a material mapped to them, simulating a video surface. Up close, the material renders properly, but far away it begins to have serious banding issues that make the surface basically unusable. Is there a rendering tweak I can do that tames this distortion a bit, or is this just the nature of a surface like this?

enable antialiasing

Anti Aliasing is on, and the quality settings are set to CInematic for everything including AA. I played with the AA modes and got slightly different results, but nothing that totally solved the issue.

It can be improved somewhat by increasing the screen percent/render resolution. Super sampling, essentially. Unfortunately this is the nature of thin lines. Once a diagonal line reaches roughly the width of a pixel or less, it can no longer effectively by rendered.
