Scene graph can corrupt a project and prevent it from opening (regression from this update)

Unreal Editor for Fortnite

What Type of Bug are you experiencing?

Stability

Steps to Reproduce

Enable One file per Entity
Place a prefab that has entities in it
Try to duplicate an entity
When it fails to save, restart UEFN and check whether you can open the project again and whether the prefab you placed is still there.

Expected Result

No corruption happens and I can save the prefab normally. After restarting UEFN the prefab is still there and I can open the project normally

Observed Result

Entire prefab that the entity is part of wont save, and upon restarting FN you cant reopen the project OR the full prefab is now deleted, even if that’s not what you were editing before, OR you can’t open Live edit anymore as a corrupted entity will prevent it and validation fix wont fix it

I think i just experienced this issue. I didn’t get an error though but i have something that will not save. What was the outcome did you restart UEFN and it works ?

If not how did you fix it with limited wasted time if it deleted the prefab ?

ty in advance

What’s this “DeadPackage_1” ???

I also do NOT have “Enable One file per Entity“ Enabled

if you get this error, the prefab or entity is already lost, havent had a case where it was recovered. Just restart UEFN and rebuild it. If it doesnt open the project, find the asset inside your SG project folder and delete it through file explorer (folder is named after your project name)

I restarted and it fixed itself and prefab is fine. Maybe this is the diff with not having that One file per Entity enabled ?
