Scene Capture 2D vs Camera

I have found that the image captured by the scene capture component 2D is very different from the normal camera component.

The image is darker with the scene capture, seems to have slightly different lighting, and also doesn’t always capture the new 4.26 water, and never captures the displacement (waves) of the water.

I have played around with the various settings and flags of the scene capture, but these issues remain.

Is there a special way of using the scene capture, or maybe an alternative that takes a perfect snapshot of what the camera is seeing ?

I would like to use a single frame snapshot for a minimap (camera from above) and also a pause screen, looking through the player’s camera.
