Scandal: asset-flip makes #1 on Steam Greenlight

This reached #1 on Steam Greenlight and consists of nothing more than Epic and marketplace stuff:

They are using the Epic Buggy/Vehicle from the racing game sample that you get for free from the launcher…and just replaced the static mesh of the body with other car models.
As maps they have demo-maps that come with marketplace packs, e.g. in the video:

0.11: desert and ruin/plant models from Epic’s racing game sample
0.49: volcano from Epic’s elemental Demo

Furter screenshots just have marketplace pack maps in them, from e.g. “Tropical Island Environment”, “Low Poly Snow Forest”…

This can only be called “asset-flip” and not a self-made game.
It’s a scandal, that such scam makes it to #1 on Steam Greenlight…but this only shows the poor quality Steam has nowadays.

Not a flip. Just a bit lame, but not a flip. Not a scandal or scam either. If it can generate income, whats the problem?

They do have the rights to use these items that come with the engine demo and from the marketplace, right?

Not a flip.

Yeah, sure, like they/him would have the copyright or license to use all the top car manufactureres designs in his game. how naive are you?

I seen they dropped the logo off the cars. I don’t really care if they can get away with that.
It makes me a bit happier if they can. Everyone that dev’s knows some licensing is B.S.
At least there doing something with the assets, and supporting adding. Working on etc.
It’s still a lot of work to get all of that into a game.
Obviously they have a rapper, and people enjoy playing the game… I guess maybe fiverrr works. lol
This is an asset flip. Deltaplan Simulator on Steam
