Scaling problems with importing Motion Controller

I’m having problems with the scaling of the VR motion controller for HTC Vive. When importing the .obj found in the steamVR file into the CB it is very small. When importing it I tried scaling it up to 100, 1000, 10000 etc. (import uniform scale) without any notice of it getting bigger.

This notice appears every time I try.
Warning: The import mesh is very small. This is an issue with the units used when exporting to FBX.

Also, I have tried to manually scale it in the content editor without any luck. I played around with ticking off different boxes in the import scene, but nothing seams to change.
