Just posting here with my support as well.

A lot of beginning game designers are instructed to start with something simple and 2D…and they do a bit of research and everyone tells them NOT to use UE4 for 2D work. I think having a strong 2D setup/tools is super important for drawing people into UE4. If beginners start with another engine they are unlikely to return to UE later when they’ve already learned a lot of one.
