Oh got it; If I get it right, mr. M.Noland was(is?) the only paper2D developer; but you have no communication with him since 4.9 preview I guess…
That is also around the same month he was last active in Answerhub.

And, UE4 also still have no skeletal animation tools for 2D characters?! And Box2D halfly done, etc. I though UE4’s 2D area was in a better shape than that.
I thought Paper2D were still a WIP too, so I wouldn’t think of building a game on top of it yet. But I see that’s not the case, it’s no longer marked as beta; If Mr. Noland is missing someone at Epic should take over, where is him
I don’t think at least 2 or 3 EpicGames’ staffer working on 2D toolset would hurt. If they never redirect more ppl to work on 2D they make *me *think that Epic was never interested in 2D genre to begin with, now mr. Noland burned out and kicked the bucket?!
