Samsung Galaxy S7 don´t work with ARCore

Hi,
I wanted to create a test project with ARCore. I am using the Google “Hello AR UE4” project. I did all the steps which are described on the webpage. But every time when I start the apk on my Samsung Galaxy S7 I get this error:

“ARCore is not supported on this device due to unknown error”

But in the ARCore documentation the S7 is listed as a supported device. This is very frustrating. I tested some other ARCore Apps on my S7. There was never a problem. At the moment I have to stop my AR work. Is this a bug in the ARCore plug-in? I updated the Android SDK 24 also to the current versions.

I’m having this exact problem except with a google pixel which has been supported for a long time. Very interested in a quick solution.

Have you tried with 4.19? I am looking to buy a S7 refurb for development as this is the cheapest way to get into Android AR

In the meantime I could solve this problem. (with Google’s Engine Branch) But I didn’t try it with the new AR feature in 4.19.
