Hi
every time I use laser scanner and photogrammetry I have the same problem, the alignment between the two components is not correct
I inserted several control points and I also performed flights at 45 degrees to improve the overlap
but the problem is always present, an incorrect alignment between laser and uav
can you help me?
Hi geoanture86,
what do you mean by wrong alignment? Is there difference between surfaces? How many CPs are you using? Do you change the CPs weight value? Are you using georeferenced data? Are you using GCPs?
yes i using 6 gpc but the result waas bad.
i use laser scanner georeferenced and photo with evo 2 rtk
there is a wrong surface allignment
Hi,
are you using CPs or GCPs? Also, only three of your points are used (not 6). Your images and laser scans are georeferenced. Are they in the same coordinate system? What is the precision of Evo 2 RTK? Are you using there also flight log? How are the CPs spread around your captured area? Are the CPs also placed on the LSPs from the laser scans? This all could influence the alignment. Can you try disable the camera priors for the images and use just the position information from the laser scans?
1- both are in the same coordinate system 7792, but the laser scanner has a ortometric height
2-in one of allignment i used all gcp but the result was not good
3–the position of gpc are only in a specific area of survey
4-i didn’t use a flight log- i don’t know how i have to do
5-yes i have place the gcp in uav component and in a laser scanner component
6-i do a locked position of laser scanner component and a uav component like unknow.
I think we discussed this before, but RC is working with ellipsoidal heights, not orthometric. But probably as it is a small area, it could work (when you won’t use georeference information from images). Still, are you using CPs or GCPs (you didn’t mention the position information for GCPs in selected coordinate system). Also, they should be placed all around the measured/captured area, not just on one specific spot. Flight log could be helpful. there are written the images’ names and their coordinates during flight. In laser scan component, on how many images it was placed?
yes i know… but i projected laser scanner scan in orthometric heights.
is a normal area 6 ha. cps…
yes i know that i have to place the cp all around the sceene…if is possible
i increased the weight og gcp and change in position and orientation a laser component, and now is all ok, but i lost the georeferencing? why?
It seems like you somehow turn off the georeferencing for laser scans. It depends with which settings they were imported, also, what do you have set as Project CS and what are your alignment settings. This looks for me as it is in local.
im doing a new project, i have a georef but the error is still present…
i put 4 control point in a georef system, but nothing… can i send you my project? and where
Which error of mentioned errors is still present?
4 control points could be not enough for such big scene. Have you turned off georeferencing for the images in 1Ds view? To keep georeferencing from laser scans you need to keep Use camera priors for georeferencing. What were your settings when you imported laser scans?
Are you able reproduce this error on smaller part of your data?
this is the link of project
if you wont download…
because i didn’t resolve the problem
