Same material on ceiling and walls but ceiling gets much darker

Hi

I have the same material on my ceiling and walls but the walls are white (as I want it to be) and the ceiling is more towards dark brown.
Both meshes are unwrapped and there are highres lightmaps on the meshes.
I have built the light on production settings.

I have decreased the diffuse boost on the meshes because I thought it was a color bleeding issue but still the same.

If I uncheck “Lower Hemisphere is Solid Color”/or changing the black default color to be brighter (in the Skylight settings) the ceiling is
turning exactly as I want it to be, WHITE as the walls. Unfortunately that affects the whole scene and it gets too bright and it loses to much contrast.

Thanks in advance!

Probably depends on the rest of the scene?
Sounds like you also have a directional light somewhere… If so, are you using light portals?

I would suggest you watch/complete this series if you haven’t already.

Keep in mind that with the recent engine changes some things may be different (EI: I had to fiddle for 2 days with dynamic lighting to get skeletal meshes to properly light up).

If you use Lit view mode, put Spot Light on the ceiling.
And drag in the same place ‘Static Mesh Light’ if you have.
If you want config light, select that and change in Details:
Intensity - visibility and power of light.
attenuation radius - decrease/increase area of light.
Also you can change color of light, white is basic.

After that click toolbar around ‘marketplace’ then Build Options > Build Lighting Only
