Sales statistics?

Don’t know how you do not know that you can view your sales stats since December 2015. Just go to your seller profile.

lol neither do I! Must’ve missed the memo.
Thanks for the info!

Hey there!

We do have a way for you to track your own sales now through the live sales report tab in your seller profile. Just log into your profile at https://publish.unrealengine.com/ and navigate to the Sales Report tab.

Thanks,

Stephanie

ok so I am reading old post in 2018 because thanks to datasmith I can now roll out a lot of my models from sketchup, so a lot is on the way.
I was looking to see sale stats on the market items to decide what to focus on first, and having sales stats for the current listed items would give me a better way to judge the price-vs-content to see how stuff sell compared to the price people charge for it. would be very useful to me as I would then be able to better choose the rate that would attract the most sales without going too low.

now on the point of piracy, unreal could encode a unique ID into the .project .uasset file that link it to the marketplace sale, that way if the item does happen to be found on a pirate site, then unreal can just cross-check the embedded unique ID and see who purchased that exact item from the market and hold that person responsible for it being on the pirate site.
there, an anti-pirate system

next, as for support on the marketplace items, make it so you can get support via Epics game launcher > Library > “r-click item” > “support”
then the message goes to the publisher on https://publish.unrealengine.com/ as a support ticket to that publisher. allows unreal to verify the item is purchased by the person requesting support, and gives the publisher the assurance that support is given only to valid purchased items.
as for receiving an email for support, a publisher then have the option to ask the person requiring support to open a support ticket in the above mentioned manner before proceeding.
will also allow tracking of support cases and allow for feedback or a rating system on support.
there, that should solve support issues.

and then as for publishers contacting buyers to give feedback, on the above mentioned publisher support interface, give the publisher the option to once a month send a message to all those who purchased their items, the publisher send the message from the support panel on https://publish.unrealengine.com/ and then unreal sends it to the email of the buyers. the buyers will have the option to “optout” of any more of these emails.
another option would be upon updating a item in the marketplace a publisher have the option to add a release note, release note would then be included in Epics game launcher > Library > “r-click item” > “release notes”
i would also like to see a release version selection, where a number is added to each release and people have the option of downloading the latest version, or a previous release version of the marketplace item.

and as for discounts, it would be good to offer discounts, or even free items just to people based on other packs they have, sort of enforcing required packs, that an item is available but can only be added to cart if you already have purchased the other packs that it depend on.

please take my suggestion into consideration, Unreal is the best platform out there by far, but the marketplace is not. improving the marketplace will surely increase the amount of people ending up using unreal, instead of them going over to other platforms just because they found what they wanted on that market instead of here
