RunUAT.bat ERROR: AutomationTool was unable to run successfully

Hello Community & Epic Games,

I wanted to pack our game for testing purposes, but after some minutes I got an error message.

This is the end of the error message:

We need your help to solve the problem, because we want to successfully pack the game when it is finished.

Thanks in advance!

With best regards

Hey ,

In order to better assist you, could you please provide us with the from here: C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\Unreal Engine\AutomationTool\C+Program+Files+Epic+Games+4.6\Cook.txt

Also, since you’re working out of 4.6, I must ask whether or not you’ve created a copy of your project and attempted to package it in 4.7.5? With each update, bugs and crashes are fixed and more tools are implemented. So it’s possible that this specific issue has been resolved in a later build. If you could please download and install 4.7.5 and try to package your project after creating a copy of it, that would be very helpful.

Looking forward to hearing back, thanks!

Hello ,

here is the cook.txt file as an attachment.
We do not want to switch to the new version of Unreal Engine now.

But if we want to switch the version, can we just copy the projects folder of the current version and then upgrade the new project to 4.7.3?

We will still try later to package the game with the new version of Unreal Engine.

Yours sincerely

Hey ,

I have requested for our developers to take a look at the you submitted. They believe that the package is actually corrupted. Is there anyway you’re able to PM me on the forums with the package attached in a private and external link?

Thank you!

Hello ,

what do you mean with package? Do you mean the project files? We are not able to package the game because of the error.
We are trying now to package the game with the latest version of Unreal Engine.

Yours sincerely

Hey ,

If UE4 cannot package your project at all, please simply zip your full project folder and upload it to a private link. Then provide me with that link in a private message on the forums. I will then download it and supply it to the developer who is requesting to look at your project for any corruption.

Thank you.

Hello ,

we switched to the latest version of Unreal Engine and are now able to package the game successfully.

Thanks for your help!

Yours sincerely

Hey ,

I’m glad that updating the Editor to 4.7.5 has corrected the issue you were originally experiencing. If you have any further questions, please feel free to create a new thread on AnswerHub!

Cheers!
