Runtime Virtual Texture builds always BLACK

I’ve been dealing with this problem for weeks and can’t find a solution.

I am creating Landscape and my goal is to create Virtual Heightfield Mesh using Runtime Virtual Texture. The Runtime Virtual Texture always appears black even though all settings are correct. So the world height system is not working. That’s why it’s always black in MinMax texture.

  • I deleted the program and reinstalled it (5.0.3)
  • I have installed 5.1.
  • I tried different materials.
  • Different different volume sizes + different Landscape sizes.
  • It isn’t happening.

Incredibly strange and no solution!

Same issue, it is building Black and Crashes every time I Uncheck hidden.
looks like Epic wants us to create FLAT landscapes.
